Free 15 Minute Telephone Consultation

I believe that it is important for a client to feel comfortable and clear in their choice of therapist.  So, I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to answer any questions and get to know one another a bit.

I am a licensed clinician, which means that you can get reimbursed for the time that I bill you for.  My standard fee for insurance clients is 125 dollars per hour.  I am required to bill the same amount to all insurance companies, so this fee is not negotiable.  However, only a percentage of this will actually come out of your pocket.  You will mail in the receipts from our sessions to your insurance company and they will reimburse you from 50-100 percent of the cost, depending on your plan.  Essentially you will have a co-pay amount that you will not be returned by your insurance.  Once you know the process it’s very easy and works very well.  I can walk you through the process and I would even be willing to contact your insurance company in order to determine your exact benefits so we have a sense of how many sessions they will approve.  Each insurance company is different, but for mental health therapy many insurance companies will pay for 25-40 sessions per year.

I am an IN NETWORK provider for the following insurance plans:

Regence Blude Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, Aetna, MHN, Healthnet, OHP open cards, and OHP Familycare CCO,

If you do not see your plan listed above I will be considered “out of network” and you will pay a slightly larger portion of the bill than if I am in network with your plan.

Sliding Scale Fees of $90-$125 Per Hour

For people who are paying 100 percent out of pocket and are not billing insurance, I realize that not everyone can afford my standard fee of 125 dollars per hour.  So, depending on your financial situation, I can go as low as 90 dollars per hour.  Or, if you can afford more than 90 but less than 125 then you just pick your price in that range.  We don’t need to have a lengthy conversation about your finances. There’s no sense wasting too much time on the issue.
